wooden chandelier

I found this old log that had been lying around in the backyard for over five years. I turned it into a chandelier. 

It took me two days of work to complete this project.

I started with sanding and shaping the wooden log. I used 80 grit sanding wheel for getting the job done. After the first sanding the wood was fairly smooth and in shape. Further sanding was done by hand.

I stained the wood slightly before polishing it as the wool was fairly white . Two coats of matte finish polish was applied giving time in between the application for drying.  Four B22 bulb sockets were used and a dimmer circuit was added to allow dimming.

I plan to add Edison style lamps giving it a retro look.
