It is said that one man's trash is another man's treasure.  One of the easiest way to explore your creative side is to try to implement some lighting ideas. I have old copper tubes that have been lying around for ages now, can it be made into a vintage style chandelier? In this project I used the steel plates from an old transformer that has been lying around at my home for sometime, an LED strip and two planks of wood.  I found an old transformer from my old UPS that I had. It's been dead for over three years. The transformer's core Consist basically constructed using metal sheets and that is what I have used for this build. You don't have to take apart the entire thing which is going to be a very difficult task. prying it open from the sides with a screwdriver and a hammer probably can expose those recta...

I found this old log that had been lying around in the backyard for over five years. I turned it into a chandelier.  It took me two days of work to complete this project. I started with sanding and shaping the wooden log. I used 80 grit sanding wheel for getting the job done. After the first sanding the wood was fairly smooth and in shape. Further sanding was done by hand. I stained the wood slightly before polishing it as the wool was fairly white . Two coats of matte finish polish was applied giving time in between the application for drying.  Four B22 bulb sockets were used and a dimmer circuit was added to allow dimming. I plan to add Edison style lamps giving it a retro look.
